This is the Moon at 64% phase photographed on 15 August 2025.
This color image is an interpretation of the mineral composition of the Moon’s surface: warm orange tones correspond to areas with high iron oxide content, while blue hues highlight basalts with high titanium content. This was achieved by enhancing the saturation to emphasize geological contrasts. I also used the HDR method of stacking different exposures to preserve the texture in light and dark areas.
